Before you label me a racist narrow-minded prude, let me tell you a few things about my personal involvement with folk dance.
Both my grandparents were born in Hawaii of Portuguese descent.
My grandmother taught me the hula in California, my birthplace.
In my youth I was a Balkan folk dance performer.
My uncle and his four sons performed conga music.
I played percussion in a Brazilian samba drum corps. I left because of the barely-clothed vulgar dancing and the voodoo influence of some of the drumming known as Condomble.
My husband is a former jazz drummer.
So, as much as I loved the exhilaration of samba, I knew I was not pleasing God.
Seminaries are no place for this dance. In this age of moral anarchy, it’s time to return to modesty!
Do Samoan girls perform native dance in their convents? Probably not!
Catholics who tolerate this seem embarrassed by the traditions of our Church! They want to remake Holy Mother Church in the image of pagans. Next up: human sacrifice. Oh, right, I forgot. There’s “Catholics for Choice” already.
Career politician Oregon Rep. 3rd District Earl Blumenauer (Democrat) and his relationship with The Hemlock Society.
The Hemlock Society’s new name is “Compassion & Choices. ” They have the same goal: legalizing assisted suicide.
C&C says the “Right-To-Die” is a “civil right” Read on.
On October 4, 2011, C&C announced the opening of their NEW OFFICE in the nation’s capitol. Among supporters of the new D.C. office was EARL BLUMENAUER:
Rep. Earl Blumenauer (OR-03), a strong advocate for better end-of-life care, lauded the expanded effort to empower consumers. “When the concerted, energized voices of reform
demand policies that support personalized care at the end of life,” said Congressman Blumenauer, “our leaders, regardless of party affiliation, will have to respond.”
Humanists’ Agenda in the Death Cult
The D.C. office hired THERESA CONNOR, a former PLANNED PARENTHOOD public policy director.
Theresa Connor’s more than 30 years of experience in public policy and communications includes 15 years as the director of public policy for Planned Parenthood in Washington state, where her work on women’s healthcare won national recognition. Ms. Connor, a licensed attorney, will work with coalition partners at the federal, state and local levels to achieve public policies that will improve care and expand choice at the end of life.
We all need Planned Parenthood evangelists working to push us to suicide wouldn’t you agree?
Suicide Idealists To Shape Policy Whether We Want Them To Or Not
“Compassion & Choices [Hemlock] is an active leader across the country in legislative and executive action to shape policies that improve care and expand choice at the end of life,” said C&C [Hemlock] President BARBARA COOMBS LEE at the opening.
“An expertly staffed D.C. office brings our advocacy to the seat of national policy.” (emphasis added)
Warning: Do not use their language!
Instead of “aided death” — say “aided suicide.”
Instead of “aid in dying” — say “assisted suicide.”

BOOK by PRC’s director Rita Marker can bedownloaded free of charge HERE . Tells the true story of Ann Humphry and Derek Humphry, co-founders of The Hemlock Society. Explores the “right-to-die / euthanasia” movements. Most of the events take place in Oregon. A page turner.
In seminaries around the country, including Mt. Angel Seminary in Oregon, seminarians attend sex education classes where the church’s traditional teachings of celibacy and marriage are mocked, and textbook photographs depicting every conceivable human sexual activity, including bestiality, are required study. Rose quotes one priest who said that “A lot of seminarians were just struck dumb by this book”….”They didn’t know what to say. You
expect to see this stuff out in the world, but in the seminary it’s shocking.”
Mt. Angel Abbey is once again the focus of Catholics in Oregon and beyond who are scandalized over yet another alleged child molestation by a priest. Woodburn priest Fr. Angel Armando Perez is in prison without bail. He attended the seminary prior to the so-called strict screening process.
I suspect tighter screening will be helpful to protect innocent children. But there is more that can be done.
My solutions will not be hard to grasp for many traditional Catholics.
SOLUTION I: Return the Tabernacle to its Rightful Place, on the altar and in the center of the altar!
A recent visit to the abbey’s church shocked my husband and I: the Tabernacle is set off to the side, to the right of the altar. Our Blessed Lord is not the center of your life there. He is demoted! We could not quickly locate the red chapel lantern which should be visible immediately upon entering a Catholic church. If you move it for Mass please explain in a comment here.
SOLUTION II: Say the Latin Mass Every Day
It is more reverent and holy than the Novus Ordo, designed to please protestants. The Latin Mass will give us more holy priests, priests who will love God more than themselves.
The New Mass is weak. Do you not know the fruits of the New Mass? Priestly sex abuse, bishops reassigning degenerate priests from parish to parish, acceptance of contraception, childless couples, one-child families, abortion, sexual promiscuity, pornography, legal patient euthanasia and suicides.
Example of heretical retreats: Appreciating the Wisdom of the Enneagram; World Labyrinth Day;
SOLUTION IV: Bring back the traditional Catholic hatred of the world, the flesh, and the devil.
After browsing the modernized Abbey Journalism blog, I conclude that your seminary needs an orthodox overhaul. You are too much “of the world.” For example, Sister Hilda Kleinman, the blogger, has news links to Islamist propagandist Al Jazeera and the anti-Catholic New York Times!
SOLUTION V: Cease all multicultural focus programs and dance performances.
Updated 09/21/2018. In 2012, I posted this Catholic Sentinel photo of sweating priest candidates dancing at Mount Angel Seminary fund raiser.
I am posting it here because the original post is on another page HERE. –ed.
2005? Permission granted by The Catholic Sentinel. The paper removed it from their website.
I cannot get the picture out of my mind of partially-clad Samoan seminarians dancing with loin cloths on for a (2005?) fund raiser at the seminary. They looked oiled up and sexy; the above 2010 picture is more acceptable but still not a holy representation for priest candidates.
“Cultural diversity also enriches the community experience, as the Latin American, Vietnamese, Samoan and the Filipino sub-communities plan their own activities and sponsor events for the Seminary at large.”
Multiculturalism – a modernist theory – does not belong in a Catholic seminary. It’s actually a redundant concept. The word catholic translates to mean the universal church. In fact, multiculturalism is a means to divide us all. Don’t misunderstand my point. I’m in favor of celebrating cultures in food, dance, music, costumes, and language. However, as faithful Catholics, the line must be drawn in favor of placing Jesus at the center of forming holy and faithful priests in seminary life.
The Hemlock Society has a new name, “Compassion and Choices.” Watch this video of Democrat from Oregon Rep. 3rd District Earl Blumenauer speak in 2010 at their Portland headquarters, where assisted suicide was legalized in 1997.
My rule: use their original name, the Hemlock Society.
Their life’s work: DEATH.

The Hemlock Society was co-founded by advocates of mercy killing aka euthanasia. The founders were primarily Humanists. (Just like the founders of Planned Parenthood.)
COMPASSION & CHOICES‘ Oregon tag line: A Resource for Oregonians Planning A DEATH WITH DIGNITY. C&C is located in all 50 states in the U.S.
Important Pro-Euthanasia Spokesperson:
Derek Humphry is the Hemlock Society co-founder. Resides in Oregon. He writes about the name change HERE, saying that Hemlock Society was there to help people end their lives when ” . . . dying, trapped in a ruined body, or just plain terminally old and tired of life.”
