A visit to Oregon’s School-Based Health Centers has a link to a program called The New 3Rs.
Oregon also has important laws on the books that support young people’s right to access information and health services: Oregon Revised Statute 109.640 allows young people to obtain contraception and treatment for sexually transmitted infections without parental notification. Oregon Revised Statute 336.455 requires that sex education programs taught in public schools be comprehensive. Healthcare access and comprehensive information are both essential to supporting youth in acting responsibly.
The New 3Rs promises to help Oregon maintain and advance its leadership in supporting young people in making informed, responsible decisions.
